CJ middle school BHS joint concert review

Today (Jan 26th, 7:30) I went to the joint concert for chief Joseph and Bozeman high school. Overall the concert seemed almost as if it was professionally run. The only thing I didn't like was programs were hard to find, and there were few of them. All three groups played Mazingly I was supposed for beIng a middle school band at how good they were. The ensemble knew where to go and how/when to execute it, this speed transitional time up significantly.
There were three conductors and from what I saw they were very clear in what they wanted. Cues appeared well prepared and clear to students.
The students were very well prepared for this concert. I was most impressed by the seventh grade band, primarly their percussionists, they had complex and as emetic rhythms they they performed without error. The sound was intense and full for exciting pieces and gentle and constant for the softer pieces. From what I have seen and experienced I the past. I have whitnessed public schooling programs that have many pieces and the quality of the concert is poor, this concert had three pieces per ensemble, each piece you could tell was fun for the students who played it and energetic and exciting for the auidence, it literally let the ensemble "sparkle".

"Hello Future Me"

What inspired me to be a teacher?
If I remember Jenanne Solberg, I'll surely remember why I want to be a teacher. She was my inspiration who helped harness my deep sporadic passion of music into what I want. I want to be part of that society that keeps music living. I have a passion for Music, and even more of a passion to share music. I love creating new ways to teach topics, and I'm dedicated to making sure people understand what we're talking about.

What are my core values?
Teach at my fullest ability (no matter what has happened to me). I will always support students in understanding, take additional time for students to help them, Give them additional research. I will never Judge a student based off of beliefs, economic status, etc.

Why does Instrumental Music Belong in the schools?
music teaches skill applicable to students in their current state as well as where they will be in the future. Music Instills personal skills with time management, discipline, setting priorities, self critique, as well as problem solving. There are also many social skill students will acquire from music. They develop better communication skills, Confident public speaking, working and adapting with a group (assigning and accepting tasks). Music also becomes a foreign language that students get the privilege to learn, a universal language at best! Using Music students can critically assess the smaller components of music, and the over all picture. The Best part about music is it all sparks slightly different thoughts when listening, which is great for students to help find out how their mind thinks.

If I had a Job in a few days?
My preparation would be simple. First I would look at my class room and its supplies, have an inventory of how many and the condition of instruments, I would also assess my music library. The second part I would look back at all my notes from my technique/Methods classes and plug them in with the instruments I have available, then look for modifications I can make (purchasing new instruments, equipment, music, etc).
